The Mecklenburg County Board of Supervisors is requesting bids from qualified firms for the remediation, abatement, and amelioration of hazardous materials at the former Park View High School. An Asbestos and a Lead Paint Inspection Report have been compiled for this facility, and both can be found as an attachment to this bid package. All bidders must be registered with the Virginia Board for Asbestos, Lead and Home Inspectors and hold an Asbestos Successful bidder License. Evidence of Worker's Compensation Insurance must be submitted with each bid. A bid bond in the amount of 5% must be submitted with the bid. A performance and payment bond of 100% of the contract award amount will be required of the successful bidder and shall be provided by one or more surety companies authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia by the successful bidder prior to the commence of work. The County reserves the right to reject all bids.
