The water system consists of a groundwater well supply at the East Orange Water Reserve (Millburn, Livingston and Florham Park, NJ), the White Oak Ridge Pumping Station (Short Hills, NJ), the Wyoming Avenue Storage Tank (Maplewood and South Orange, NJ) and the City's distribution network. The distribution system is comprised of approximately 115 miles of water main, typically of cast iron construction, ranging from 2" to 24" diameters. Customer supply lines (from the corporation to the curb stop) are typically of lead or galvanized construction (some copper) and are maintained by the EOWD.
