Site work for a mixed-use development in Goliad, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The City of Goliad is requesting proposals from firms interested in providing design and construction of a single recirculating splash pad in the City. The Turnkey Splashpad Project will consist of providing services for a design, material and construction for a Splashpad area with a concrete surface all around splash pad, artificial turf, an enclosed chain link fence for the equipment and equipment pad, and a blank chain link fence for the perimeter of the area. The City is considering multiple locations for the splashpad, as well as multiple finance options to pay for the splashpad. The City of Goliad has a population of approximately 2000 residents. The City owns a parcel of land, approximately .4 acres, on the west side of San Patricio Street, between US Highway 59 and W. Garden Street. The City is also leasing a parcel of land, approximately 1.5 acres, on the west side of S. Burke St., between US-59 and E. Franklin St. The City is open to exploring other locations for the splashpad that may be more favorable for the project. The City of Goliad is planning to construct a single recirculating Splashpad to include but not limited to the following criteria, materials, specifics and design. The contractor shall provide design, materials, automated control system, water distribution system, concrete, artificial turf, electrical, incidentals, and labor to furnish a complete single recirculating Splashpad with approximately 2,000 square feet wet are already for use, turnkey. All materials shall be new and free from defects. All available aquatic features should be included in design but presented as options. The contractor shall provide all items necessary to completely construct the project described. Equipment shall be located within an enclosed area using a chain link fence, concrete surface all around wet area and artificial turf, 10 feet from concrete all around. An 8 feet black chain link fence with a single-entry gate and a double back gate all around the perimeter of the area. The surface deck should be specified as a light broom concrete finish. Add/Alternates should be made available for surface options of the products that the contractor is accustomed of installing and provide specific warranty, example and benefits of using in place of a light broom concrete finish.
