Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Oneida, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a 6,415-square-foot, one-story above grade, four-unit multi-residential development.
(1) new freestanding 4-unit apartment building of approximately 6,400 square feet of total building area for all levels, slab on grade with wood framed walls/trusses. Includes two (2) ADA units. Associated mechanical work is included except for Plumbing, Water and Sewer Connections which will be done by done by Owner. A complete description of the scope of work is noted d in in the Contract Documents. preference in the award of contracts to certified Indian Organizations and certified Indian Owned companies. Any contract awarded for this project shall conform to the Oneida Nation's Indian Preference in Contracting law. INDIAN PREFERENCE-To the greatest extent feasible, the Oneida Nation shall give The awarded Contractor is contractually obligated obligated to abide by the Oneida Code of Laws, Title 5. Business - Chapter 502-Indian Preference in Contracting (aka: Oneida Indian Preference law). Per Article 502.9 of the law, the Contractor shall execute a compliance agreement with the Indian Preference Office. The OWNER reserves the right to accept or reject any bids which may be advantageous to the OWNER. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening g of bids without the consent of the OWNER for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of receiving bids. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the amount of 5% of his bid in accordance with the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The contract shall be subject to Davis Bacon Federal Prevailing Wages. The awarded contractors will be required to obtain an Oneida Vendors License if firm does not currently entry hold a license. Project consists of a freestanding 4-unit townhome style apartment building of approximately 5,160 square feet. The work consists of slab on grade wood frame construction with a combination of truss and “framed” roof construction. The exterior features a combination of fiber substrate siding and thin stone, vinyl windows, fiberglass and steel doors, and metal shingles. The interior work includes panel doors, cabinets and countertops, vinyl floorings, sheet rock, thin coat plaster, wood trims and paint. Ceilings are vaulted to roof top clerestory windows. The two interior units of each building also feature a loft bedroom and large storage room. There is also site work and landscaping.
