This project is funded by OPWC and is to include all labor, materials, and equipment to apply a tack coat at .05 gal/sq yd and a 1" 448 Surface Course of Asphalt on approximately 10.27 miles of various sections of county roadway. Bidders Are Required to Be Pre-qualified With the Ohio Department of Transportation to Submit a Bid for This Project. All bid items in this project shall be combined and awarded as one contract. This project is partially funded by a grant from The Ohio Public Works Commission and cannot be signed or awarded until after July 1, 2025. Work Shall Be Completed No Later Than October 17, 2025. Any Work Done as Stated in a Contract Extension Shall Be Started Immediately. The Work Shall Be Completed on or Before The Date Specified in the Proposal or the Date Shown on Any Contract Extension if Granted by the County Engineer A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code amounting to 100% of the Bid Amount or a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit pursuant to ORC Chapter 1305 in the amount of 10% of the Bid Amount must accompany all bids assuring a firm contract will be entered into upon acceptance of the bid. If a bid is accepted, the successful bidder shall file a bond for the amount of the contract. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio. In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 164.05 (A)(6), to the extent practicable, the Prime Contractor and subcontractor(s) shall use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in connection with this project. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept the bid which it deems to be in the best interest of Jackson County, even if it is not the lowest, to waive any formalities or irregularities in bidding, or to advertise for new bids if in the judgement the best interests of the county would be promoted thereby
