Renovation of a water / sewer project in Johnson Valley, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
As of April 14, 2026, this solicitation is under evaluation. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Reference Number 0000386429 Purchase Type: One Time Only- Delivery Date: six months after awarding The Morongo Basin Pipeline (MBP) is a pipeline that runs from the California Aqueduct, under the Mojave River and through the Johnson Valley Pump Station, finally heading to the Yucca Valley region delivering about five cubic feet per second of water, year around. This consistent delivery makes the Johnson Valley Pump Station (JVPS) a vital component of the water delivery system on the Morongo Basin Pipeline. The Agency is requesting professional design services to overhaul the electrical systems at the Johnson Valley Pump Station to evaluate the existing system and determine the level of effort and required upgrades to bring the system up to current standards. The selected consultant should consider the existing infrastructure, the pipeline alignments, future demands, and any equipment on site. This can be achieved by upgrading a portion of the electrical system to a complete overhaul of all components, if needed. The existing equipment was installed in the early 1990's. Parts have been increasingly harder to procure, and the system is working with pieced together spares. The project objective is to get a proper functioning and up to date electrical system that is incorporating the current industry standards of all components. The Agency is seeking proposals from qualified firms (Firms) for the planning, design, bid support, and engineering support during construction for the "Johnson Valley Pump Station Electrical Design Services".
