Demolition and site work for a residential development in Michigan City, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
Demolition of the structure with appropriate fill and grading of the area, and clearing of the premises (including accessory structures, landscaping, fencing & debris). rhe only contact person for this procurement is the enforcement authority for the City, by and through Christine Vanderborg, Code Enforcement Official, 100 E Michigan Blvd. Michigan City. IN 46360; office (219) 873-1415 x 2029; cell (219) 219-873-4671; cvanderborg@emichigancity.com. All verbal and written communication must be directed to this contact person only. A Bid Bond, signed by both the surety and the bidder, or Cashier's Check, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The surety of the lowest bidder will be retained by the Board until seven (7) days after the winning bidder provides the Board with a duly executed contract and required forms and attachments. The sureties submitted by the other bidders will be returned upon the Board making an award for the Project. The City of Michigan City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities and to accept any bid from responsive and responsible bidders and further reserves the right to terminate the contract after award or withhold payment because of default or nonperformance on the part of the selected bidder.
