Renovation of a medical facility in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Casey House is a specialty hospital, caring for people living with and at risk of HIV, offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient holistic health care. The facility consists of a three storey heritage building at 571 Jarvis Street, and a more recent four storey extension at 119 Isabella Street, which was completed in 2017. Two areas of the extension are now being renovated to reconfigure the layout of the washrooms and storage spaces on the ground floor, as well as convert several offices into exam rooms on the second floor. Renovation to the ground floor washrooms will involve changing the layout from the current state of two washrooms with three stalls each, a crash cart room, and a housekeeping room to two barrier free washrooms, four regular washrooms and a storage room. Renovation to the second floor will involve converting five offices into six exam rooms. Integration with the rest of the building is important for both portions and existing finishes, fixtures and equipment are to be matched where possible. The existing building is currently occupied and will remain occupied throughout construction. Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) requirements will need to be strictly adhered to, including the requirements of CSA Z317.13. The area of renovation work is 200 m2 and the overall floor area of the building is approximately 3700m2. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. A construction cost in the range of $600K to $1.1M is anticipated. It is anticipated that CCDC 2-2020 Stipulated Price Contract will be used. The construction timeline is anticipated to be 6 months. A building permit application with associated HVAC and plumbing permits are currently under review by the City. The Bid Bond must be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price.
