Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Logansport, Indiana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility.

Demolition of 2249 Gleitze Drive and 2268 Gleitze Drive and clean up for all (4) four addresses. The following properties, all as recorded in the Office of the Recorder, Cass County, Indiana, can be submitted all in one bid if each address is itemized. Must be a registered contractor in Cass County. 2. Demolition cannot commence until approval from IDEM for asbestos notification, if applicable (see attached). This must be submitted with your demo permit to the Planning Department. 3. Applicant must submit for a local demolition permit. 4. Demolition cannot start until Demolition permit(s) have been approved and start 10 days after Asbestos report has been sent to State. The Contractor would be the one responsible for sending Asbestos Report to the State. After permit is approved all work must be done in 3 months from the date of permit approval. 5. Removals: note everything shall be hauled to the proper landfill/salvage yard/composter and proof be given to the Planning Department: a. All contents from interior and exterior debris from the demo of structure(s) must be removed. (see attached open burning and illegal dumping information attached) i. Footings, concrete slabs, pits, cap well(s) (see attached documents regarding wells), cisterns or any underground/under slab plumbing lines, must be removed. ii. Septic(s) must be reviewed with the Health Department. The determination from the Health Department must be submitted with the demolition application. iii. Foundations: 1. Slab, crawl and basement foundations must be removed to 36" below finished grade. If remainder of basement foundations stay, the foundation must be busted up to allow drainage and then backfilled. a. Fill dirt shall be topped with 6 inches of top soil, and properly graded with seed and straw for effective erosion control. You must call the County Building Commissioner to inspect the hole before it is backfilled. You must call 24 hours in advance for such inspection. All trash, rubbish, mechanical units, etc. from the demolition of the structures) must be removed. 1. The Contractor must have Freon removed by a certified person for all Freon Appliances. 6. Contractor or Property Owner(s) are responsible to see that all gas, electric, water and sewer utilities are abandoned to the satisfaction the specific Utility in the area. All other utilities must clean up bid 1. Must be a registered contractor in Cass County. 2. After Bid is accepted all work has to be completed within 3 months. 3. Removals: note everything shall be hauled to the proper landfill/salvage yard/composter and proof be given to the Planning Department: i. All trash, rubbish, mechanical units, burn piles, tires, chemicals/oils, etc. from the property cleanup must be removed and taken to the proper facility. (see attached open burning and illegal dumping information) 1. The Contractor must have freon removed by a certified person for all freon appliances. 2. All vehicles, campers, trailers must be towed off the property and taken to the proper facility. 3. If equipment is used and property is rutted up, the property must be graded for proper drainage. A Bid Bond for Cass County or a Certified Check pay to the order of Cass County Treasurer in the amount of at least 10% of the bid must be filed with each bid in order for the bid to be considered with. The Cass County Planning Department or Logansport/Cass County Planning Department reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
