This project will provide repairs to Good River Bridge (Bridge No. 0445) and embankment stabilization of the nearby (west) timber retaining wall to improve bridge and traffic safety. The Good River Bridge (Bridge No. 0445) is located along Good River Road, with site coordinates: 58.412528, -135.772083. This project is funded by a 2024 Denali Commission Program Grants Award FOA DC-WP-24-001. Proposed repairs of the existing Good River Bridge include adding abutment restraint and cable restrainers and replacing approach rail, a bull rail segment, hand rail, running planks, and W-Beam rail. Proposed repairs of the existing retaining wall, located northwest of Good River Bridge, include filling two existing voids behind the retaining wall and realigning the unnamed west tributary of Good River. This stream realignment aims to protect the retaining wall while maintaining stream flow and aquatic habitat. Clearing and bridge sign replacement will also be conducted. All work shall be completed by December 31, 2027. Deadline for Questions: October 21, 2026 at 4 pm A bid guaranty is required with each bid in the amount of 5% of the amount bid. (Deductive Alternate bid items as well as supplemental bid items appearing on the bid schedule shall be included as part of the total amount bid when determining the amount of bid guaranty required for the project.) The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids when such rejection is in the best interest of the City; to reject the bid of a Bidder who has previously failed to perform properly, or complete on time, contracts of a similar nature; to reject the bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Contracting Officer, in a position to perform the Contract; and to reject a bid as nonresponsive where the Bidder fails to furnish the required documents, fails to complete required documents in the manner directed, or makes unauthorized alterations to the bid documents.
