As of July 10, 2025, a design firm has been selected for the project. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to August of 2026. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The selected Consultant shall be tasked with preparing preliminary and final design documents, as well as bid phase and construction phase services including construction administration and construction inspections. The scope of preliminary and final designs will include but not be limited to: o Grant Administration services and Coordination among the Town and funding agencies 3 o Existing documentation review o Easements Coordination with Property Owners within the project area; both temporary construction easements and permanent utility easements will be required. o Thorough site inspection of the sewer mains and detailed interviews with Village staff o Updated engineering report and updated 2025 project costs o Final plans and review with Town and Village staff o Coordination with funding agencies, NYSDEC and other regulatory agencies on project document review and approval o Biddable project plans and specifications o Engineering services during the bidding phase and contract negotiations phase o Construction Administration and Construction Inspection services o Project Closeout services o Other tasks as requested by the Town. Notifications about timeline date changes, amendments to the RFQ, and other information about the RFQ will be posted on the Town of North Elba/Village of Lake Placid website. However, failure to provide such information shall not delay or invalidate the Town's right to make a decision to award an agreement pursuant to this RFQ. The Town of North Elba reserves the right to amend or withdraw this RFQ in their sole discretion, including any timeframes herein, upon notification of all Consultants as set forth above, and in such case, the Town shall have no liability for any costs incurred by any Consultant.
