The Town of Williston is requesting established Landscaping Companies for the spring planting of up to 39 trees, 17 as replacements to Ash Trees that are being removed by the Town and the rest in new planting locations This project consists of planting up to 13 A.saccharum Green Mountain Sugar Maple, 2 Plantanus.acerifolia London Plane, 2 G.dioicus Kentucky Coffee, 5 Quercus rubra and 17 G.tricanthos var.inermis Thornless Honey Locust. The location of the plantings will be Blair Park, Chatham Woods, Williston Community Park and Whitney Hill Road. The trees will be planted in new planting beds which the contractor will be responsible for establishing at a location identified by the Town. The contractor shall follow Attachment F & G, attached, of the grant awarded to the Town by the Vermont Urban and Community Forest Program. The selected company shall be able to meet all the requirements of the grant program. Trees will be a minimum of 2.5" caliper and a maximum of 3.5". This work will be completed as per the guidelines of the grant but no later than June 15 2026. All the above listed trees with the exception of the Honey Locust can be planted in the fall of 2025,after leaf drop between September 1st and October 20th.
