Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The City invites Tenders for Vanier Park Seawall Repairs. The existing seawall along defined sections of Vanier Park has experienced erosion or damage due to storms and requires repair. The proposed works will stabilize and reinforce the shoreline and top of bank to minimize ongoing loss of armour rock that will in turn reduce sedimentation and erosion risk to the surrounding marine environment. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to: Site preparation to remove existing timber, brush, organics and debris in the work area; Removal of three (3) trees which have become unstable due to severe erosion; Replacement of eroded sediments; Removing and stockpiling existing riprap material for reuse; Excavation behind existing armour rock for the installation of geotextile and placement of filter rock; Placement of imported riprap and/or re-placement of stockpiled riprap; and Reinstating grass or paved areas behind the crest of slope protection.
