Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The Borough of Lansdale (Borough) is performing rehabilitation of the W. 5th Street Park. The improvements include basketball court resurfacing, ADA parking lot installation, ADA curb ramp installation, concrete sidewalk, concrete pad for benches and shade sail, installation of a new 8' high chain link fence with privacy slats and furnishing a security camera. The project also includes playground rehabilitation by others. Questions Due Date: Jun 5th 2025, 5:00 PM EDT Online Portal Mobilization. The contractor shall supply required insurance, performance and payment bonds. The contractor shall mobilize the project site and commence construction. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic. The Contractor shall erect or place and maintain in good condition, barricades, warning signs, lights, flares, approved yellow-flashing light units, rubber traffic cones, and other warning and danger signals and devices, appropriate and adequate for the specific needs and subject to the Engineer's approval, at working sites, closed roads, intersections, open excavations, locations of material storage, standing equipment and other obstructions, at points where the usable vehicular or pedestrian traffic width of the road or sidewalk is reduced, at points where traffic is deflected from its normal courses or lanes, and at other places of danger to vehicular or pedestrian traffic. 3. Temporary Erosion & Sediment Controls. The contractor shall install all temporary erosion and sediment controls, as shown on the project plans. The contractor shall maintain all temporary erosion and sediment controls during construction. Upon achieving permanent vegetative stabilization of all disturbed areas, the contractor shall remove all temporary erosion and sediment controls. 4. Site Clearing. The contractor shall perform all demolition of existing tree, fence, gate, concrete wall, bituminous areas, and other existing features, as shown on the project plans and as required to facilitate the proposed scope of work. 5. Milling of basketball court asphalt, 1.5i depth. Milling shall be scheduled so as to expose the bituminous surface for only an area that will be repaired, leveled and paved within seven (7) days. No milled surface shall be exposed for more than seven (7) days. 6. The milled surface shall be inspected by the Engineer prior to commencement of any subbase repairs. The areas for subbase repair shall be approved and marked in paint in the presence of the Paving Foreman and the On-Site Inspector. 7. Construction of 1.5i Superpave Asphalt Wearing Course, 9.5 mm, PG 64S-22, 0.3 to 3 Million ESALS, SRL-L. Pavement surface shall be graded according to the project plans in order to ensure sufficient surface drainage. Seal all pavement joints after paving. The Contractor shall ensure that the court has sufficient slope and does not pond. 8. Asphalt Parking Lot Paving. The Contractor shall perform full depth asphalt pavement construction as shown on the project plans including excavation, geotextile installation, stone base, base course and wearing course. 9. ADA Curb Ramps. Construct proposed ADA curb ramps, including detectable warning surfaces, as shown on the project plans. 10. Concrete Curb. Install concrete curb and cheek walls at the proposed ADA curb ramp, as shown on the project plans. 11. Sidewalk. Construct proposed concrete sidewalk, as shown on the project plans. 12. Concrete Pad. The contractor shall construct a new 6i thick reinforced concrete pad as shown on the project plans. 13. Pavement Markings. The Contractor shall replace all existing pavement markings on basketball court in kind, furnish and install striping for the parking lot after placement of the new wearing course pavement. The Contractor is responsible to inventory all existing pavement markings prior to milling14. Precast Concrete Wheel Stops. The contractor shall furnish and install precast concrete wheel stops in the parking lot, as shown on the project plans. 15. ADA Parking Sign Assembly. The contractor shall furnish and install ADA Parking sign Assembly in accordance with current ADA and MUTCD standards, as shown in the project plans. 16. Security Camera. The contractor shall furnish a new security camera system, including camera mounts and hardware, as described in the project specifications. 17. Chain Link Fence. The contractor shall furnish and install an 8i high chain link fence including privacy slats, complete with all posts, footings, fittings, and hardware, as shown on the project plans. 18. Grading. The contractor shall perform clearing and grubbing and site grading, as shown on the project plans. Grading shall be performed asrequired to meet the required subgrade and finished grades for the proposed ADA ramp, concrete sidewalk, playground surface, and ADA parking lot. 19. 4i Topsoil and Hydroseeding. The contractor shall install topsoil and hydroseed to establish vegetative stabilization on all disturbed areas not proposed to be paved or otherwise stabilized, as shown on the project plans. 20. Project Sign. The contractor shall furnish and install permanent DCNR funding project sign, as shown on the project plans. The sign will acknowledge financial assistance from PA DCNR, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, and will identify the type of grant that was the source of funding as the iKeystone Recreation, Park, and Conservation Fundi. The project sign shall be mounted on two (2) 4ix4i pressure treated posts set in concrete foundations. 21. Record Documents. The Contractor shall provide Record Documents in accordance with Section 01781.
