Renovation of a water / sewer project in Canmore, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Canmore Nordic Center Pumphouse draws reservoir water to supply the main facility for snowmaking. A project has been undertaken to upgrade piping both between the reservoir and Pumphouse, and between the Pumphouse and main facility. In conjunction with the mechanical, piping and civil work required to execute the upgrade, Electrical and Controls modifications are required within the Pumphouse, namely: Salvage of out-of-service Snomax equipment and associated electrical interconnections. Installation of electrical heat tracing to sections of exterior, above-ground piping added to the water collection system. Addition of a motor-operated isolation valve on the outlet of the main Pumphouse delivery pumps. Replacement of existing, non-operable equipment within the Pumphouse. Updates to the facility control and monitoring system to reflect the aforementioned equipment additions.
