Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Shrewsbury Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work shall consist of rehabilitating the Rines Road (T-325) bridge over Trout Run. The existing concrete rigid frame bridge, will be rehabilitated to repair its existing structural deficiencies with concrete jackets, wingwall repair/replacement, a cast-in-place deck overlay and new 3-rail barriers. Contractor shall purchase all materials necessary for the project. Contractor shall install E&S measures, divert stream flows, protect existing utilities, control traffic, demolish and remove existing bridge components as indicated, and protect the remainder of the existing bridge. Excavate for and construct streambed paving and scour protection, remove unsound concrete and construct concrete jackets and repairs, rehabilitate existing and construct new wingwalls. Install waterproofing, construct deck overlay and curbs, install new bridge barriers, and backfill structure. Restore roads at bridge site, including grading, subgrade placement and compaction, paving, and install stormwater features. Plant trees and protect following planting; Owner to be responsible for tree care following construction. Set guiderail and traffic control signage, protect existing features to remain, perform all necessary incidental work, and provide all necessary appurtenances to restore the site to its original condition. Questions Due Date: Jun 20th 2025, 5:00 PM EDT Bidders must provide with their Proposal (or Bid) either a certified bank treasurer's check, a certified cashier's check payable to the order of Shrewsbury Township, or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bidders must also provide with their Proposal a fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Public Works Employment Verification Form. Bidders are advised that PA Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates are incorporated in the Contract Documents and they must be paid to all workers employed at the construction site. Failure to fully comply with all bid requirements including but not limited to the above will be cause to reject a bid. Bidders are advised that PA Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates must be paid to workers employed on this project and are incorporated in the Contract Documents. These wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract for the entire duration of this project. Shrewsbury Township may hold all Bids and they shall remain irrevocable for 60 days from the Bid Opening date. Shrewsbury Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities, or negotiate contract amounts. The successful Contractor will be required to furnish upon Contract Award a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price as bid.
