The work for which proposals will be set forth in the Detailed Scopes of Work (DSOW) referenced in the individual Job Orders. Upon receipt of a Blanket Release, the Contractor is required to complete each Detailed Scope of Work for the Job Order Price within the Job Order Completion Time. Questions Due Date: May 28, 2025, 4:00 p.m., Central Time The scope for this Contract is to perform Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing work under the jurisdiction of the Department of Water Management; however, the City reserves the right to have the Contractor work on any City facility. Work may occur at two (2) water purification plants, twelve (12) pumping stations, four (4) cribs in the lake, or in the streets within Chicago city limits. The work may also include, but is not limited to any general construction work, site work, underground work, concrete work, roof, masonry work, etc. which may be incidental to the assigned MEP work. Typical types of work will include but not limited to HVAC equipment control systems upgrades, ventilation system renovations, electrical security system enhancements, water main and process piping repairs, and dehumidification system repairs. Generally, task orders range from about $10,000 to $500,000 in value with exception for special projects with higher values. The JOC Contractor awarded a contract pursuant to this specification will not be required to have architectural or engineering licenses however engineering services may require subcontractors have these licenses. The Scope of Work under this Contract shall be set forth in individual Work Orders issued hereunder. Upon receipt of a Sub Order Release, the Contractor shall provide all management, work, materials, supplies, parts (to include system components), transportation, plans, supervision, labor, and equipment, except when specified as City of Chicago furnished, needed to perform the necessary improvements The City is not obligated nor does it guarantee that the Contractor will perform work in the above mentioned categories. The City reserves the right to award other Contracts for Work of the types, or similar to the types of Work described in the Contract Documents. This description of work is intended to be general in nature and is neither a complete description nor a limitation on the work to be performed. Contractor shall perform all Work described in the Contract Documents or reasonably inferable as necessary to produce the results specified therein, except to the extent specifically indicated in the Contract Documents to be the responsibility of others. Bid Deposit: $25,000 MBE/WBE/VBE Participation Goal: The MBE/WBE/VBE goals are 26%, 6% and 1%, respectively. Project Area Participation Goal: 7.5% Pursuant to Municipal Code Section 2-92-330 the City has established that the Project Area for this contract will include Community Areas Citywide as indicated on the map incorporated herein.
