Georgetown County,SC is soliciting sealed bids for drainage improvements located along US Hwy 17 Business, extending to the marsh at Channel Bluff Ave. in Pawleys Island, SC. This project is being funded in whole or in part by the South Carolina Infrastructure Investment Program (SCIIP), which is administered by the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) and funded by federal State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). All federal SLFRF requirements and SCIIP requirements will apply to the contract. All contractors and subcontractors are required to be actively registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM) and may not be debarred from doing business with the federal government. Respondents on this work will be required to comply with all applicable federal regulations, including those listed in the project manual. The purpose of the meeting is to help answer any questions bidders may have regarding the project. The County's official responses will be provided after the meeting via addendum. Construction activities include the installation of storm drainage piping, along with drainage inlets, catch basins, manholes, and the outfall structures. Scope of Work: BASE BID: The project involves clearing and grubbing within the designated limits, identifying all utilities, including telecommunications, coordinating the relocation of necessary telecom utilities, and coordination the relocation of required water and sewer lines. The project is located along U.S. Highway 17 Business, extending to the marsh at Channel Bluff Avenue in Pawleys Island, Georgetown County. Construction activities include the installation of storm drainage piping, along with drainage inlets, catch basins, manholes, and the outfall structures. The outfall line consists of Line C and Line D: Line C runs south to north and includes the installation of 36-inch reinforced concrete pipes (RCP), connecting to a manhole, catch basin, and drainage inlet on the west side of Highway 17. Line D consists of a 36-inch RCP that connects to a new outlet control structure from the pond to Channel Bluff. This line utilizes the Jack and Bore method to install dual 24-inch RCP under Highway 17, linking to two manholes on each side of the highway. A 36-inch RCP is then installed on the south side of Channel Bluff to transport runoff to the marsh. Note that the construction plans also include Lines A and B with grey boxes over these areas. Easements are pending in these areas and these lines are not part of this project. This project is only for the installation of Line C and Line D as described above.
