The Village Board is now accepting sealed bids for the following Asphaltic pulverize and pave for the following project: Segment 1. Mertzig Parkway - approx. 0.48 miles. 22ft wide, Blacktop, 3.5" thick, 22' wide x 0.48 miles long. Pulverize the existing asphalt and pave 3.5 inches of hot mix in 2 lifts. Approx 57,233 SF. Segment 2. E. Boundary Ave approx. 0.48 miles. 20ft wide, Blacktop 3.5" thick, 20' wide x 0.48 miles long. Approx. 53,390 SF. Specifications included in both segments pulverize entirely and pave 2 lifts on each segment at 3.5 inches total. Compacted thickness of mix type E-1 or E-0.3 including adjustment and lifts of all manholes. Include tack quote quantities. Quote to include price per unit and estimated tonnage of hot mix asphalt. Shouldering 2 ft wide of 34 gravel on both segments 1 and 2, 2 ft wide. 1. Place base along Mertzig Parkway for pavement widening of 2 ft. 2. Pulverize the existing blacktop and grade pulverized material to proper slope. 3. Fine grade, water and compact the base to prepare for placement of hot mix asphalt. 4. Pave with hot mix asphalt to a uniform 3.5 thickness through entire project in 2 lifts. 5. Construct 2 ft gravel shoulders of gravel on both segments all shoulders to be compacted by contractor. 6. Include tack oil gallons for each segment in the bid. 7. Include asphalt tonnage in bid for each segment. 8. Adjustment and lifts of all manholes. 9. Match existing manholes or rise if needed, work with Village of Solon Springs for any risers. 10. Contractor to provide all traffic control meeting MUTCD guidelines. All projects shall be completed by October 15, 2025. Liquid damages to Start Oct 16th 2025 for not meeting the October 15th 2025 completion date. Bids shall include costs for each project separately and a total price for both projects combined. Segments 1, Segment 2, and Combined total. A map of segment is attached to this document. All contracting procedures work, and materials supplied under this proposal shall conform to the Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction, 2015 edition, and all subsequent revisions and supplementary specifications, of the Wisconsin Division of Highways, Department of Transportation. The Village Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to award the bid that is most advantageous to the Village of Solon Springs.
