Alcosan encourages businesses owned and operated by minorities and women to submit bids on authority contracts or to participate as subcontractors or suppliers to successful bidders. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid and to accept any bid should it be deemed in the interest ofthe Authority to do so. It is the policy of the Owner to award a fair share of contracts to minority and women's businesses. The goal of the Authority is that 10 to 25 percent of all dollars relating to its contracts be awarded to minority or women's business enterprises. The Owner will make every effort to meet that goal in its contracts as well as encourage that goal among its contractors, suppliers and their subcontractors.
