The scope of this Contract is for the construction of a new filtration disinfection system, HLD flow metering facility, a disk filtration structure, two HLD substations, four chlorine contact basins, a sodium hypochlorite storage and feeding facility, and a HLD lift station at the NDWWTP. It also includes all associated site work. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful contractor must execute a one hundred (100%) Surety Performance and Payment Bonds. The original bid bond must be delivered to the contracting officer at the address above prior to the bid opening or a bid will be deemed non-responsive. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 120 days from bid opening date. Question Deadline 06/24/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Requests for information (RFIs) will only be accepted. Any RFI received after this date may be rejected by the department, in its sole discretion. Project Duration: 958 Calendar Days to Substantial Completion, 987 Calendar Days to Final Completion, plus a 99 Calendar Day Contingency Period. The Board of County Commissioners, Miami-Dade County, Florida, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid or to re-advertise for bids. Bids from any person, firm or Corporation in default on other contracts or agreements with the County may be rejected. Failure by the Bidder to satisfy claims on previous contracts with the County may be cause for rejection of his bid. The County reserves the right to postpone or cancel the bid opening at any time prior to the scheduled opening of bids. Site visit description: Since the plant is a facility with restricted access, Bidders are encouraged to also invite any of their trade subcontractors, specialty subcontractors or vendors to this event. Participants attending the site visit must wear personal protection equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes and safety vest.
