The Elizabethville Borough 2025 Road Program will consist of pavement repairs for Willow & Summer Avenues, Pine Avenue, Chestnut Avenue, Stroop Avenue, and Church Street. The pavement repair consists of a wearing course pavement. At intersections and driveways, a 10' wide, milled paving notch will be required to transition the new pavement to the adjacent existing. Some extra milling will be required on Chestnut Avenue and Pine Avenue to accommodate drainage. The items of work are identified more specifically in the Project Specifications. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. The scope of work is to place a layer of Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course, PG 64S-22, <0.3 Million ESALs, 9.5 mm Mix, 1 1/2" Depth, SRL-L on the proposed areas of Stroop Avenue. Extents of work are shown on the location map attached and will be marked in the field. Work shall include the following incidental items: shoulder backup; sweeping of roadway; tack coating on all layers of pavement; milling of paving notches at all intersections and driveways; and sealing of joints and utilities A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of ELIZABETHVILLE BOROUGH, negotiable US Government Bonds (at par value), or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10% of the Total Bid of construction shall be submitted with each bid. The SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. However, the award of the contracts may be delayed by required approval of another government agency or closing on the project funding loans. Owner shall reject all bids or award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder within 120 days of the bid opening. Questions must be submitted, via online by 11:00 AM on Thursday June 5, 2025. No bidder shall withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of Bid opening.
