Site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Quincy, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
Asbestos Abatement and Re-insulation at Atherton Hough School and Merrymount School Questions will be accepted until June 2, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total value of the Bid in the form of a Bid bond or certified/treasurer's check. Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 149, 29, the Contractor shall furnish a performance bond in an amount of 100%, of the total Contract price and a payment bond in an amount of 100% of the total Contract price from a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to the City or furnished and materials used or employed therein, when the Contract is executed. The City of Quincy reserves the right to waive informalities, to reject any and all bids and to award the Contract in the best interest of the City of Quincy. Atherton Hough School: The contractor shall commence work on Monday, June 23, 2025, and must be completed by Friday, July 11, 2025. Merrymount School: The contractor shall commence on Monday, June 30, 2025, and must be completed by Friday, July 18, 2025.
