Elizabeth Barabash Manor Elevator Replacement The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 60 days of the notice to proceed and will include a mandatory preconstruction meeting. Modernization of the existing elevator mechanical and electrical components o Machine Room Equipment o Door Equipment o Hoistway Equipment o Car Fixtures o Hall Fixtures o Removal and proper disposal of the existing elevator system. o Installation of a new, code-compliant, energy-efficient passenger elevator system. o Coordination with building management and occupants to minimize disruption. o Obtaining all required permits and inspections. o Providing warranty and post-installation support. The Borough reserves the right to require prospective bidders to submit a complete financial and experience statement showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the required nature before awarding the Contract. Bids must be submitted in standard proposal form and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the name and address of the bidder on the outside addressed to the Borough Clerk, Borough of New Providence, 360 Elkwood Ave., New Providence, New Jersey 07974, by the date set forth above. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with every requirement contained in the instructions and specifications. The bid security shall be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid or twenty-thousand dollars ($20,000.00), whichever is lower . The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any irregularities where such irregularity is not detrimental to the best interest of the Borough. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. Elevator Specifications o Type: Passenger elevator o Capacity: Minimum 2,500 lbs o Speed: 125-150 feet per minute (FPM) o Stops: 3 (Ground, 2nd, 3rd floors) o Door Configuration: automatic doors o Cab Dimensions: ADA-compliant (minimum 51" deep x 68" wide clear floor space) o Controls: ADA-compliant, Braille markings, voice annunciation both inside the car and the hallway o Drive System: Machine Room-Less (MRL) or Hydraulic Emergency Features: o Emergency lighting o Battery backup o Two-way communication o Firefighter's service Project Completion: By August 31, 2025
