This project includes the rehabilitation of the structure carrying North Gallatin Ave over Redstone Creek in the City of Uniontown, Fayette County. The bridge is approximately 250 feet north of the intersection with East Penn Street and North Gallatin Avenue. The stone masonry abutments will remain in place and only a superstructure replacement of the existing single span I-beam bridge with a new cast-in-place concrete superstructure will be completed. Excavations to approximately 4' to the tops of the stone masonry abutments will be required to construct new concrete caps for the beam seats and tie in the new superstructure. The scope of work will also include minor approach work, sidewalk, and curb installation.
