Site work for a civil project in Bronson, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of July 31, 2025, the project was awarded to Hoffman Bros., Inc, with an awarded amount of $3,004,636.55.** The project estimated cost is $2.5million. SCOPE OF PROJECT The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: o Walker Street Lift Station: Complete duplex submersible lift station including wet well, valve chamber, meter chamber, permanent standby generator, pumps, valves, piping, electrical, controls, force main, and sanitary sewer o Corey Street Lift Station: Complete duplex submersible lift station including wet well, valve chamber, pumps, valves, piping, electrical, controls, force main, and sanitary sewer o Storm sewer removal and replacement o Asphalt road removal and reconstruction o Concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement o Concrete sidewalk removal and replacement o Maintenance of traffic Also included is all associated demolition, pumping and hauling, bypass pumping, dewatering, equipment, site work, and restoration. The project estimated cost is $2.5million. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the City of Bronson in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the receipt of bids. Construction activities are to begin as soon as possible following contract award. It is the intent of the Owner to consider award of the contract, contingent on receipt of funds, to the successful bidder after the EGLE Order of Approval on August 6, 2025. The project shall be substantially complete no later than November 1, 2026 and ready for final payment by December 1, 2026. Doc note: Drawings and specifications are available online or at the 3355 Evergreen Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 office of Prein&Newhof after 5:00 PM, Friday, May 23, 2025. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who are active members of the Prein&Newhof online. Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. Hard copy drawings and specifications are available for the fee of $250.00 dollars. Prein&Newhof online members who want to purchase the hard copy of the drawings only, may do so for $114.00 dollars. A $15 dollar charge will be added to all mailed drawings and/or specifications. Fees are payable by cash or check only and are not refunded.
