**As of July 22, 2025, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** Grayson County is accepting proposals from qualified vendors with elevator renovation and modernization experience. Vendors are being asked to provide a plan to update the County's current elevator in the Annex of the Courthouse. In this plan, we are asking vendors to include in their options to update controllers and equipment to the latest technology, using non-proprietary equipment, including the latest code requirements. Vendors shall provide design, plans, testing, all applicable permits, materials, labor, equipment and incidentals necessary to complete the work described herein in accordance with all local, state and federal codes, to ensure a safe and healthy building access for Grayson County business and its residents. QUESTION DEADLINE: FRIDAY, JUNE 13, 2028 AT 10:00AM All information regarding the bid process or procedures shall be obtained by contacting Jodi Platt, Purchasing Agent, via email: plattj@co.grayson.tx.us. Voicemail messages with questions regarding bid specifications will not be returned. LATE BIDS: Submissions received in the County Purchasing office, or email address, after the submission deadline, shall be returned unopened and will be considered void and unacceptable. Grayson County is not responsible for lateness of mail, electronic systems failure, carrier, etc. and time/date stamp clock in the Purchasing Office, or email destination time stamp, shall be the official time of receipt. BID BOND is a financial guarantee in the amount of 5% of the contract total price and provided by the bidder to ensure that, if awarded the contract, they will enter into the contract and provide the required payment and performance bonds. PAYMENT BOND is a financial guarantee in the amount of the contract total price and provided by the bidder provide prior to beginning work if the contract is in excess of $25,000.000 to ensure subcontractors, laborers, and material suppliers who have a direct contractual relationship with the prime contractor or a subcontractor will be paid for their work or materials supplied to a public work project In accordance with Texas Government Code 2253.021, a County that makes a public work Contract with a prime Bidder shall require the Bidder, before beginning work, to execute to the County a Performance Bond if the Contract is in excess of $100,000. Such bond shall be in the amount of the Contract payable to the County and must be executed by a corporate surety in accordance with Texas law. ONE - FIVE (5) - STOP HYDRAULIC ELEVATOR MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS FOR DELIER Y AND INSTALLATION: _ All equipment shall be non-proprietary _ Five (5) stop floor accessibility _ New solid state controller _ New LED Hall fixtures _ Digital motor control technology _ New hoist-way, elevator cab wiring, and traveling cable _ GAL-MOVFR/solid state limitless door operator _ New hydraulic submersible Power Unit, including new motor, pump, and control valve _ New LED push button panel including emergency, ADA Hands free phone, and fire service code _ New machine room to house the equipment, including conduit where needed _ New leveling system _ New detector edge _ New inspection station and pit switch _ Inspect car top for any informalities _ Paint car top, machine room floor and pit floor _ On-board diagnostics _ Provide all necessary fluids and lubrication _ Factory warranty and extended warranty options _ Obtain plan review from TDLR and perform acceptance test _ Obtain any additional permits or certificates, as needed The equipment shall be installed to bring the complete elevator system into code compliance. Any fire service signal upgrades or electrical upgrades feeding the elevator disconnect, including disconnects, must be listed separately if work needs to be completed by Grayson County.
