Site work and renovation of a civil project in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for the Base Bid Lump Sum Work that consists of providing all labor, rigging, tools, equipment, and materials to restore BPS; including replacing pumps, check valves, isolation valves, pressure controls including piping and gauges, Sump Pump including pump, pit, and discharge, vent and blower, heater, dehumidifier, hatch handle and seal, anode test stations, floor mats, flood alarm, lights, signage and other items included in drawings. Reweld and recoat exterior of piping and floor supports. Replace the generator box and remove the existing telephone box. Replace existing accessory receptacles. Recoat all interior coating including steel surface preparation. Install driveway pull off and mow apron around BPS hatch. All of the above shall be made ready for use in accordance and compliance with the Contract Documents, Plans, and Louisville Water Standard Specifications and Drawings. The Company's Project Manager's estimate for the Contract plus Company supplied materials for this Project is $250,001 - $500,000. If the Company's Project Manager's estimate for the Contract plus Company supplied materials exceeds $250,000: a Bid Bond is required. For this Contract, a Bid Bond is required. Bids will only be accepted from Bidders who have been pre-qualified by the Company in the prequalification category or categories that apply to this Bid. This Bid requires Prime contractor to be prequalified in any of the following categories: Heavy Construction - Underground Vault and Pressure Reducing Valves, Electrical, Mechanical, or Drainage and Sitework. Contractor/Subcontractor performing specialty items of work such as Electrical, Mechanical, Heavy Construction - Underground Vault and Pressure Reducing Valves, or Plumbing must be prequalified in that particular category. Pre-qualified Minority/Women Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit Bids, and no Bidder will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age (over 40), national origin, protected veteran status, or physical or mental disability which, with or without reasonable accommodation, does not prevent the performance of essential job functions. The Company reserves the right to reject Bids from Bidders not pre-qualified; the right to disqualify Bids deemed to be defective and/or non-responsive; the right to waive defects in Bids where the Company determines that such defects are immaterial; and the right to reject any or all Bids deemed not to be in the best interest of the Company. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Questions or inquiries relating to this project must be submitted through the Louisville Water Company web-based portal by the date and time indicated for this bid. Acceptable proof of Good Faith Efforts is a return mail receipt or a written "NO BID" response from certified MBEs or WBEs. Leaving phone messages or non-trade specific faxes is not acceptable proof of Good Faith Efforts. If the 15% MBE goal or the 5% WBE goal is not met, bidders must provide to Company all supporting documents including solicited and unsolicited quotes from all subcontractors and/or suppliers with the Bid package, except quotes for trades that will be performed by the bidder. For any questions or clarifications relating to bidding and construction of the Project, the Bidder must submit the questions through the designated portal for this bid by the deadline indicated for questions. Bid results are not provided in response to telephone inquiries. Each qualified bidder will be mailed a formal tabulation after the Company has taken official action. Bidders should not call the Purchasing Department for a tabulation of bids. Questions or inquiries relating to this project must be submitted through the Louisville Water Company web-based portal by the date and time indicated for this bid.
