Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Woodstock, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 22,000-square-foot, one-story above grade fitness / recreation center; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project is defined as a renovation of the existing Woodstock Recreation Center to include new entrance, lobby and reception area, fitness classrooms, toilet and locker rooms, open fitness space, interior climbing wall, gymnasium renovations, office suite, MEP upgrades, pool renovation, mezzanine floor with connecting stair and elevator, window and envelope upgrades, roof replacement, site parking and landscaping. Question Deadline 06/10/2025 Bid RFI's due Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the City of Woodstock and/or the Illinois Department of Labor, or determined by a court of review, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract. For the specific requirements, review the Prevailing Wage Act (820ILCS 130/0.01-12). No less than 50 percent of the labor hours on the project must be performed by actual residents of the State of Illinois. All bids received prior to the specified date and time that meet or exceed the minimum specifications will be considered by the City of Woodstock. The city of Woodstock reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities in the bids, and to select the bid that is considered to be the most advantageous to the City of Woodstock. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. Project No. I25-599.173 Summary Project Description: †The Woodstock Recreation Center project includes the selective demolition, renovation, and new construction of a municipal recreational facility located at 820 Lake Avenue, Woodstock, Illinois. The scope of work includes structural modifications; new and upgraded mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; hazardous material abatement; exterior envelope improvements; and the addition of new interior program areas including multipurpose spaces, locker rooms, and administrative offices. Site work includes reconfigured parking, ADA-accessible routes, landscaping, utility coordination, and stormwater management upgrades. †This description is provided for general information only and does not represent an exhaustive or all-inclusive summary of the Work. The full scope, requirements, and obligations are defined in the Contract Documents. **Stenstrom Construction Group is seeking minority businesses for the Woodstock Recreation Center, for subcontracting opportunities in the following areas: Sitework, demolition, Concrete, Masonry, Metals, Carpentry, Insulation, Doors and Frames, Windows, Roofing, Skylights, Floor finishes, Painting, Signage, Toilet Accessories, Specialties, Casework, Elevators, Fire Sprinkler, Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical as noted in bid Documents.
