In general, the work consists of the replacement of the existing diesel generator and concrete pad for Wells/Wellhouses 5, 6, and 7 with a new natural gas fired generator and concrete pad. Moreover, a new 2-inch natural gas main for the new natural gas fired generator will be installed. Additional project work includes the addition of variable frequency drives for pumps in Wellhouses 5, 6, and 7, as well as a new automatic transfer switch. Roofing, doors, and lighting in Wellhouses 5, 6, and 7 will be updated as well. Neither Owner nor Engineer has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness or sufficiency of any bid documents obtained from any source other than the source indicated in these documents. Obtaining these documents from any other source(s) may result in obtaining incomplete and inaccurate information. Obtaining these documents from any source other than directly from the source listed herein may also result in failure to receive any addenda, corrections, or other revisions to these documents that may be issued. Bids must be submitted on the forms bound herein, must contain the names of every person or company interested therein, and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid, and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 50% of the Bid. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 30 days after the actual opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner. The Work will be substantially completed within 330 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 365 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
