No Bids Will Be Considered Unless the Contractor, Whether Resident or Non-resident of Alabama Question Deadline 06/12/2025 at 11:00 AM CT Questions or Comments Pertaining to This Bid Must Be Presented in Writing, Sent as E-mail to the Attention of the Purchasing Manager, Erin Wolfe, 555 South Section St., Fairhope, Al 36532, E-mail: Purchasing\fairhopeal.gov The City of Fairhope is requesting responses from qualified contractors to provide labor, materials, equipment and all incidentals to remove the current Trane RTAA 0904 XR01 chiller and install a new TRANE CGAM090F2 Chiller in the chiller plant located at the Fairhope Public Library. Bid response shall include crane delivery, set up, and usage. This shall be a turnkey project with the City of Fairhope providing the new chiller. Scope of Work: Work shall include, but not be limited to the following: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals to remove the current Trane RTAA 0904 XR01 chiller and install a new Trane CGAM090F2 chiller. The new Trane chiller shall be provided by the City. Removal of the old chiller will include removing the electrical supply, control wiring, and chilled water piping connections, then setting the old chiller on a City-owned trailer for haul off. City will be responsible for disposal of the old chiller. Contractor shall install the new Trane CGAM090F2 chiller including, but not limited to, all piping and insulating of new connection points and valves. The electrical circuit must be within the minimum load specification on the data plate of the new chiller. If an upgrade of the existing circuit is required, Contactor is responsible for all electrical materials, wiring, conduit, etc. to complete the upgrade. This cost must be included in the base bid cost. Contractor must connect existing chiller control wiring back to the new chiller and must be operational. New chiller loop thermostats shall be installed at connection points. Existing Chiller control wiring must be connected back to the new chiller and operational. Contractor shall install new pipe insulation on any places that are damaged or removed during this project. Contractor will be working in the chiller plant with a second chiller that must stay operational at all times within reason. Library must remain operational with adequate cooling while the new chiller is being installed. If the second chiller needs to be disconnected at any stage of this project, the City and the Library must be notified 24 hours in advance and the disconnect will need to happen when the Library is closed, if at all possible. A qualified Trane representative must perform start up after installation. If there are any problems with the installation that causes the start up to be unsuccessful, Contractor must resolve all problems until the start up is successful. Crane: A Crane will need to be used for the removal of the old chiller and the install of the new chiller. Contractor will provide a crane of adequate size to handle the chillers. The crane must be operated by a qualified operator. The crane operator's qualifications must be provided to the City prior to operation.
