Project Description: Stadium The planned multi-phase facility is anticipated to have an initial seating capacity of 7,500 total seats. This is to include fixed seating and flexible seating (i.e.: berm, standing room only, social spaces). The new Stadium construction will comprise approximately 126,000 GSF (gross square feet). It will be located adjacent to, and connect with, the new UWF Residence Hall, which is planned to be constructed concurrently and immediately north of the Stadium. The new facility is intended to host University of West Florida football games and a variety of academic, student, and community activities. This new permanent multipurpose expandable facility will be built around the existing football artificial turf field and will replace the current temporary 6,500 spectator capacity facility. The temporary facility includes 3,650 fixed seats including chairback bleacher seats on the home sideline (1,804) and bleacher bench seating on the visitor sideline (1,846), open grass spaces for expanded seating, temporary concession options offered at food trucks, and temporary bathroom facilities, among other features. The overall project scope will include relocation of the temporary bleacher seating. Project Description: Residence Hall The new Residence Hall construction will comprise approximately 108,000 GSF (gross square feet). The Residence Hall shall be laid out in suites to accommodate 250-300 students. The preferred design will be based on a 4-bedroom suite concept incorporating four (4) student bedrooms per suite, with two (2) shared baths, and a common area available to each suite for social interaction. The Residence Hall is to include resident advisor 1-bedroom suites (typically 2 per floor), and one (1) resident director 2-bedroom apartment (for full time professional staff member).
