Renovation of a mixed-use development in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Pattonville School District is accepting proposals from qualified contractors to remove and replace flooring district wide. All proposals should include the cost of removal of existing flooring, preparation of existing floor to receive new flooring, replacing existing wall cove base, furnishing and installation of the new flooring including all labor, materials, and incidentals to finish the work, complete and accepted, by the District as described below: Bridgeway Elementary School- - Remove approximately 750 square feet of existing flooring and replace with carpet squares and acceptable cove base. - Remove approximately 430 square feet of existing flooring and replace with VCT and acceptable cove base. Parkwood Elementary School- - Remove approximately 4750 square feet of existing flooring and replace with carpet squares and acceptable cove base. - Remove approximately 250 square feet of existing flooring and replace with VCT and acceptable cove base. - Remove approximately 160 square feet of existing flooring and replace with walk-off carpet and acceptable cove base. Pattonville Heights Middle School- - Remove approximately 5390 square feet of existing flooring and replace with carpet squares and acceptable cove base. - Remove approximately 2910 square feet of existing flooring and replace with VCT and acceptable cove base. Pattonville High School- - Remove approximately 3020 square feet of existing flooring and replace with carpet squares and acceptable cove base. - Remove approximately 1800 square feet of existing flooring and replace with VCT and acceptable cove base. Willow Brook Elementary School- - Remove approximately 550 square feet of existing flooring and replace with VCT and acceptable cove base. Carpet...Modular Tile (Carpet squares) Manufacturer: TBD Color: TBD VCT- 12"x12" commercial grade Manufacturer: TBD Color: TBD The Company shall be responsible for making an accurate determination of the total flooring needed for the identified space. The quantities indicated are estimates. The cost must include 10% surplus of each of the flooring patterns for the District to keep on hand for future spot replacements as needed. The school building will be closed to the public during installation and District staff will move all furnishings to facilitate and expedite installation. The Company is responsible for removing all construction and packing debris from the work site and keeping a clean, safe work area at all times. Clean up of the work area shall be at no additional cost to the District. The Company is responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing flooring in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, including section 260.211 of the current Revised Statutes of Missouri. In addition, the Company will provide all the necessary equipment, labor, and materials to safely accomplish said removal and disposal. If hazardous materials are encountered during execution of the contract, the Company will be responsible for removing and disposing said materials in accordance with federal, state and local statutes and codes. The Company will provide the District with appropriate documentation regarding the disposal of said hazardous materials as requested or required. All goods and/or services shall comply with applicable OSHA regulations in effect at the time goods are shipped and/or the service is performed. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are required in accordance with applicable regulations. MSDS must be left on site immediately after goods and/or services have been provided. The Company will be held liable for the cost of repair or replacement of structures, utility systems and any other parts of the facility damaged by the Company's acts of negligence or lack of full adherence to the requirements of the Scope contained herein. The Company will be held liable for the cost of repair or replacement of building components and/or vehicle(s) damaged by falling/flying equipment and/or debris. All installations will be in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. The Company is responsible for providing written documentation to the District for any work that may affect the District's warranties or existing equipment. The written documentation must be provided and approved prior to the commencement of work. Unless otherwise specified, the Company shall unconditionally guarantee the labor and the materials used in performance of this contract within the specified guidelines and recommendations of the manufacturer's warranty. If any defects or signs of deterioration are noted which in the District's opinion are due to faulty workmanship or materials, the Company shall be notified and shall make the necessary repairs to correct any deficiency in the system at the Company's expense.
