Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The Pattonville School District is accepting proposals from qualified contractors to fill cracks, resurface and reline 7 tennis courts at Pattonville High School 1) Project Site: a) It is the Company's responsibility to ensure the site conditions are acceptable for the required repairs. Beginning the repair process means acceptance by the Company of existing conditions. 2) Resurfacing Repairs: Materials and Application a) Materials will meet the standard of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). To ensure material compatibility, all acrylic surfacing and color coatings must be professional or collegiate-grade and supplied by a single manufacturer. b) No coatings shall be applied when air or surface temperatures are below 50F, or if such conditions are expected within 24 hours following application. c) Asphalt tennis court surfaces color coat will not be applied when rain is expected during application or within 24 hours after application. d) All courts will be resurfaced with a color combination that is selected by the school district staff. e) All surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned by way of pressure, loose material scraped and removed. The surface will cleaned and made free of oil, grease, dirt, debris, tool marks, ridges, and valleys. f) Prior to applying material, all depressions 1/8" or deeper will be leveled with patch binder in accordance with manufacturer's instructions using one or more coats of asphalt emulsion filler depending on manufacturer's specifications for application. . g) Cracks less than one-half inch ( 1/2 ") wide will be repaired and sealed as follows: i) Cracks will first be cleaned, all loose material removed and dried. ii) An approved and sufficient asphalt crack filler will be applied and worked into the crack with pressure to ensure that all spaces are filled with material or equivalent for best results. iii) Excess material will be removed, and once dried, the crack will be smoothed to remove any ridges and made flush with the surrounding surface. h) Cracks greater than one-half inch ( 1/2 ") wide will be repaired and sealed as follows: i) Cracks will be cleaned and filled with court patch, a mixture of sand, Portland cement and acrylic binder or equivalent for best results. ii) Excess material will be removed, and once dried, the crack will be smoothed to remove any ridges and made flush with the surrounding surface. i) Asphalt acrylic emulsion color coating or approved ITF material will be applied on the clean, dry underlying surface with a minimum of two (2) applications in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. j) Company will allow material drying times in accordance with manufacturer's instructions before applying materials or opening completed surface to foot traffic. k) The finished surface will be smooth and free of any ridges, valleys, and tool marks. 3) Playing Lines a) Prior to markings being applied, Company will meet with District staff to make final decisions and verify court locations and markings. b) After the surface has thoroughly cured, the Company will layout seven (7) tennis court line markings in accordance with ITF Rules of Tennis. c) All markings will be sharp and crisp with no color overspray. 4) Nets & Net Posts a) All existing net posts and post caps should be evaluated and replaced if necessary according to manufacturer's specifications. b) Install seven (7) new nets in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. 5) Shipping and Delivery of Materials and Products Used in the Repair Process: a) The Company will store materials and products used in the repair process according to the manufacturer's instructions to prevent deterioration or damage. b) The Company will make provision to deliver all materials and products used in the repair process to District's campus. c) Materials and products used in the repair process will be delivered by truck to a location nearest to the site accessible by roads. Hauling permits and freight charges are the Companys responsibility. d) The Company will notify District in advance of the materials and products expected arrival. e) District will not be responsible for lost or damaged materials, products, components or equipment during transportation. 6) Other Project Requirements: a) The Company will give the proper authorities all notices as required by law relative to the work in his charge, obtaining all official permits and paying for all legal fees that are necessary for the due and faithful performance of the work. b) The Company must locate and mark all utilities within proximity of the project and avoid damage to facilities. c) All labor, tools, materials and equipment necessary for the completion of all work included in these specifications will be furnished at the Company's expense. d) All labor will be performed in a first-class, substantial, neat and workmanlike manner. e) Any and all damage caused by the Company to District's existing facilities including, but not limited to, fencing, parking lots, landscaping, wind screens and other existing property will be repaired, including any damaged facilities, and everything left as it was and complete in every respect.
