City of Newark Department of Water & Sewer Utilities Will Receive Sealed Bids for: Supply and Delivery of Water Purification Chemicals for the City of Newarks Water Treatment Plant Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, made payable to the order of the City of Newark. The right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in any bid is reserved if such an action is not detrimental to the interest of the City of Newark. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. (P.L. 1975, c.127) and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq., concerning affirmative action, and any amendment thereto, and P.L. 1977, c. 33, which refers to the statement of corporation ownership. We encourage bid and RFP responses to be submitted via certified mail or overnight delivery to ensure timely receipt of responses.
