The St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission is currently soliciting bids for the Wicomico Shores Wastewater Lift Station (WWLS) #1 and #2 Rehabilitation Projects. Wicomico Shores WWLS #1 construction work will occur at the end of Sycamore Drive in Mechanicsville, Maryland 20659, adjacent to 26000 Sycamore Drive Mechanicsville, Maryland 20659, and as shown on Attachment I: Wicomico Shores #1 WWLS - Plans. Wicomico Shores WWLS #2 construction work will occur at 35410 Army Navy Drive, Chaptico, Maryland 20621. The Contractor is required to commence the Work and to substantially complete Wicomico Shores WWLS #1 (1221SS) within 80 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed at which point in time the Work shall be completed and the Project shall be in a finished condition, as specified in the Contract Documents, and all temporary buildings, equipment, tools, surplus and waste materials shall have been removed from the job site.The Contractor will be required to commence the Work and to substantially complete Wicomico Shores WWLS #2 (1241SS) within 65 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed at which point in time the Work shall be completed and Project shall be in a finished condition, as specified in the Contract Documents, and all temporary buildings, equipment, tools, surplus and waste materials shall have been removed from the job site. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of existing Smith & Loveless equipment at both Wicomico Shores #1 and #2 WWLS locations and install new Owner provided Smith & Loveless, Incorporated (Smith & Loveless) pump packages, Kohler generators, and ASCO transfer switches in same locations. The Contractor shall perform all plumbing, sealing, and installation in accordance with the Smith & Loveless Pump Drawing and Installation Details without interruption to existing wastewater flow. Both existing Concrete Wet Wells shall remain. The COR or designated representative and Contractor shall inspect the wet wells for cracks, leaks, and integrity before, during, and after completion of construction. Question Deadline 06/10/2025 at 12:00 PM ET WICOMICO SHORES #1 WWLS The Work for the Wicomico Shores #1 WWLS (1221SS) project shall consist of the Contractor furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, profit, overhead, and all other requirements to install new fence and gates, replace existing force main discharge pipe through wet well wall, installation of new electrical canopy, installation of new generator pad, installation of a new burm to direct water flow around WWLS, and regrade the entire driveway areas and install #57 stone in fenced area once construction has been completed. In addition, the Contractor shall install Owner furnished Kohler 60kW generator (Model: 60REOZK), ASCO 300 transfer switch, Smith & Loveless Everlast Wet Well Mounted (Lift) Pump Station, and without interruption to existing wastewater flow. WICOMICO SHORES #2 WWLS The Work for Wicomico Shores #2 WWLS (1241SS) project shall consist of the Contractor furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, profit, overhead, and all other requirements to clear and grub the trees as shown on Attachment R: Wicomico Shores WWLS #2 - Plans, test pit and locate utilities, widen the existing driveway, replace existing force main discharge pipe through wet well wall, installation of new generator pad, regrade the entire driveway areas and restore all disrupted pervious areas once construction has been completed. In addition, the Contractor shall install Owner furnished Kohler 42kW generator (Model: 40REOZK), ASCO 300 transfer switch, Smith & Loveless 2-Pump Rectangular Recessed Wet Well Mounted (Lift) Pump Station, and without interruption to existing wastewater flow.
