Bids for the resurfacing of approximately 11.83 miles of County Roadway under the supervision of the Jackson County Road Department, Jefferson, Georgia. Jackson County reserves the right to add or delete road item quantities as deemed practical. In addition to the patching and resurfacing specified in the Bid Document, this will be an "Open End Agreement" to proviBids for the resurfacing of approximately 11.83 miles of County Roadway under the supervision of the Jackson County Road Department, Jefferson, Georgia. Jackson County reserves the right to add or delete road item quantities as deemed practical. In addition to the patching and resurfacing specified in the Bid Document, this will be an "Open End Agreement" to provide for the requirements of Jackson County on as needed basis until December 31, 2025 should the Parties agree to execute the one-year extension of the contract. The extension contract may be terminated by either Party with a 60 day written notice of termination and may be terminated without cause or prejudice. The quantities may be increased or decreased as required to satisfy the needs of the County. Asphalt price adjustments during the extension period will be calculated using GDOT Special Provisions 400/402 for additional work specified if petroleum prices increase. Should petroleum prices decrease, Jackson County reserves the right to renegotiate the price for asphalt. Each bidder must deposit with his bid a Bid Bond for 5% of the total bid on Table 1. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount for 100% of the contract price will be required if the contract is awarded.
