Site work for a water / sewer project in Valier, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Estimated cost is $1,600,000 to $1,800,000. The Project includes the following Work: 1. Construction of a new headworks/screening facility at the WWTF, 2. Removal of biosolids from the WWTF cells, and 3. Replacement of sanitary sewer collection main piping. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Town of Valier Phase III Wastewater Upgrades. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Domestic Preference This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Pub. L. 117-58, 70901-709503. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States. The following waivers apply to this Contract: BABAA De Minims, Small Grants, and Minor Components. Doc note - Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. The Contractor shall, except as otherwise specifically stated in applicable parts of these Contract Documents, provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, facilities, and services necessary for proper execution, testing, and completion of the work. B. This project will provide the Owner with wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) and collection system improvements and generally consists of the following major items of work: 1. Replacement and upsizing of sewer mains and manhole replacements on Teton Ave, Iowa Ave, and 3 rd St. 2. WWTF headworks facility with influent screen. 3. WWTF non-potable water system. 4. Removal disposal of biosolids from wastewater treatment cells. 5. Other miscellaneous work as shown on the Drawings A. This section covers all instrumentation, associated electrical equipment, and appurtenances. Contractor shall coordinate furnishing and installation of specified equipment and materials. B. Major constituents of this system include, but are not limited to, all materials, equipment, and work required to install complete and operating instrumentation, radio, and PLCs. The system shall include primary elements for process variable measurements, analog display and control elements, discrete display and control elements, programmable logic controllers, and other facilities as specified. A. The packaged metering manhole shall be watertight and corrosion resistant with manhole barrel, cover, confined space entry warning sign, couplings, flume with end adapters, pipe stubs and flexible adapters, base, and mounting flange. B. Any portion of the flume or end adapters extending outside the manhole shall have a reinforced cover. The manhole sides, bottom and external flume sections shall be designed to withstand a static load of 150 lb/ft per foot of depth with less than 1/4-inch deflection. There shall be no light duty angles or flanges protruding beyond the flume or manhole, that can be damaged by shear or load forces. The fiberglass manhole shall be fabricated with polyester resin, in one integral piece that is structurally strong, lightweight, watertight, and corrosion resistant to salt water, ground water, corrosive soil conditions and many commonly encountered industrial chemicals.
