Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Libby, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This project is to rehabilitate the Kootenai River bridge that carries US-2 over the Kootenai River in Lincoln County (MP 11.58). The rehabilitation is to address deformations in the existing gusset and pin plates that have occurred over time since it was constructed. The scope of work includes replacing the existing expansion rocker bearings that support the main truss spans at Pier 3 and 6 along with the associated structural repairs to accommodate the new bearings. The rehabilitation work also includes some minor Class A deck repair and repairing three existing stringer to floor beam connections in Span 4 and 5. There is no roadway work included in the project. Contract to be completed as outlined in the Contract Time special provision found in the proposal. This project is under the jurisdiction of the Butte District Administrator.
