DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR UNITS OF WORK: 2" Asphaltic Concrete Overlay 2,345.00 S.Y Edge Milling 767.00 S.Y Full-Depth Asphalt Patching 778.00 S.Y This project includes full-depth and partial-depth concrete pavement repairs. Once the concrete pavement repairs are completed, the entire roadway will be edge-milled and will receive an asphalt overlay. Location of NW 17th St. West of I-75 off ramp, in front of Sunflower Sports Association. BID SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: All bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including alternates), made payable to the City of Topeka, Kansas. The original bid security shall be provided to the office of Contracts and Procurement before the 2:00 closing date. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION: All persons seeking to enter into a contract with the City shall submit an acceptable affirmative action program in accordance with Section 3.30.460 of the Code of the City of Topeka, Kansas. NOTIFICATION OF MINORITY AND WOMAN BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (MBE/WBE): Bidders shall take note of requirements for notification of MBE's and WBE's as stated in paragraph 24 of Document 100: Instruction to Bidders and Document 840: Notification of Available Subcontract Work.
