Renovation of a military facility in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The goal of this project is to upgrade the lighting at the Cheyenne River Health Center in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. The existing lighting system, original to the 2011 building construction, includes a mix of incandescent, HID, LED, and fluorescent bulbs. All fixtures, including components such as ballasts, lamp holders, and base pans, will be removed and replaced with modern LED lighting units. The contractor shall provide all engineering, design, materials, labor, equipment, and supervision required to demolish approximately 2,148 lights, remove and replace around 160 light switches with dimmer switches, and replace approximately 6 occupancy switches. The contractor must also repair and install ceiling tiles and drywall affected by the demolition and installation process. Approximately 1,957 lights will be renovated with new LED fixtures throughout the facility's interior and exterior. All electrical work must be performed by a South Dakota certified electrician, and installation must follow manufacturer specifications.
