** As of August 05, 2025, project was awarded to CWS Construction Group Inc., with an awarded amount of $685,000 ** The Project consists of: a. Replacement of existing sliding chain-link vehicular gate with a new automated sliding gate including all required equipment and gate hardware. b. Replacement of existing pedestrian gate and electrifying gate hardware c. Installation of bollards, A/V systems at both the vehicular and pedestrian gates that will be controlled from the administrative office. All necessary conduit and electrical connections, gate operator, card readers and console are part of this new feature. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' license(s): B, and D-28 for the gates as applicable. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. Each bidder is solely responsible for timely submission of its bid; the District is not responsible for any technological issues in a bidder's ability to timely submit its bid or portion thereof. Hard copy of bid bond must be physically submitted, within 24 hours of the bid due date, to the District's Facilities Office 634 El Camino Real South San Francisco, CA 94080. Prior to publicly posting bids on the District website, the District reserves the right to verify the genuineness of any bid security. Any bid that is submitted after this time shall be nonresponsive and returned to the bidder. Any claim by a bidder of error in its bid after the bids are opened must be made in compliance with section 5100 et seq. of the Public Contract Code. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the South San Francisco Unified School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90)days after the date of the bid opening.
