Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in South San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
**As of November 19, 2025 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on December 10,2025.** The work consists of mobilization and demobilization; clearing, grubbing, and environmental protection; public posting and notification; traffic regulation and construction area signs; utility potholing; thermoplastic marking and striping removal; sanitary sewer cleanout, water meter, water valve, and miscellaneous utility box adjustments to grade; existing arch culvert and existing storm inlet removal; storm drain pipe, City standard Type G0 and G5 curb inlet, and City standard storm drain manhole installation; asphalt concrete surface removal; City standard curb, gutter, sidewalk, stamped concrete, driveway, and reinforced valley gutter installation; ADA compliant curb ramps and retrofit detectable warning surface at existing curb ramps; roadway pavement subgrade preparation; asphalt concrete pavement; deep lift AC plug; curb paint, thermoplastic markings; install sign and post; site clean-up and removal of any remaining construction materials or debris, sweeping, removal of any and all traffic regulation and construction area signs; and removal of all environmental protection in South San Francisco, CA at the intersection of Miller Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, Grand Avenue and Orange Avenue, and Randolph Avenue and Madrone Avenue. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, incidentals, and services necessary to complete all the work as specified and in accordance with the plans and specifications for the project. At the time of contract award, the successful bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a Class A Contractor's license. All bids must be accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bond of not less than ten percent of the bid, payable to the City of South San Francisco. The successful bidder must enter into a contract within ten calendar days after Notice of Award and must possess a Class A General Engineering Contractor license at the time of award. Listed subcontractors must also possess the required contractor's license for each specialty work specified and/or a Class A license. This contract will be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations. The bidder and its subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to section 1725.5 of the Labor Code, subject to limited legal exceptions. Bidders are solely and exclusively responsible for submitting such inquiries or clarification requests not less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the scheduled closing date for the receipt of bid proposals. Cashier's check or certified check, payable to the order of the City of South San Francisco, of not less ten percent (10%) of the bid or a bond in said amount, payable to the City of South San Francisco and signed by the bidder as well as a corporate surety, shall accompany the bid Question Deadline 10/13/2025 at 5:00 PM PT Submit Questions via the Citys eProcurement Portal.
