Renovation of a municipal facility in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
.1 Work of this Contract comprises the replacement of the existing HVAC System as well as Building Automation System (BAS) in the Bridgetown Building, located at 552 Granville Street, Bridgetown, NS, as further described below. .2 Demolish two (2) interior air handling units as well as associated condensers. Demolish oil-fired furnace air handling unit as well as associated condenser and oil tank. Demolition of ductwork as indicated. .3 Install new pad-mounted packaged air handling unit complete with new ductwork, bypass boxes, re-heat coils serving office areas. .4 Install new interior air handling unit and associated condensing unit serving detention area. Modify ductwork as indicated. .5 Replace existing digital BAS that controls central systems including all control boards and electronic sensors. .6 Run new local network wiring to all zone level, supervisory level, and master level controllers and other networked devices. .7 Provide new graphical interface to new BAS with user level access through a Cradlepoint router. .8 Retain services of a balancing subcontractor to calibrate air terminal units and air flow station. .9 Phase work to allow existing BAS system or parts thereof to remain fully operational until new system or parts thereof is operational. .10 Provide installation/static and functional testing commissioning services, integrated life safety testing, and operator training as indicated in the specifications and commissioning plan. .11 Provide project closeout documentation including O&M manuals, asbuilt drawings, and equipment data forms as indicated. a) Bids submitted at $100,000 or greater shall include the following by the Closing Date and Time: i. A bid bond in a commercially reasonable form or an irrevocable standby letter of credit issued by a financial institution authorized to conduct business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank in the amount of at least 10% of the Bid Price and that shall be in effect until forty-five (45) calendar days following Closing Date. ii. A suretys consent indicating that, in accordance with section 5.18.1. of this ITT, the surety company will furnish the contract security which shall include a 50% performance bond and a 50% labour and materials payment bond of the Bid Price or a consent from the Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank that an irrevocable standby letter of credit in the amount of 50% of the Bid Price will be furnished.
