Site work for a water / sewer project in Hicksville, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The purpose of the project is to replace existing 6-inch water main with approximately 720 LF of new 6-inch C.L.D.I. water main, including appropriate valving, hydrants, and water connections along William Street. This piping will include a domestic and fire service on Newbridge Road for a residential building and a 2-inch domestic water service on N. Broadway. Each bid proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Hicksville Water District , in a sum equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commintment by the bidder that, if his bid is accepted, he will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Bond, and a one (1) year Maintenance Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the final total contract price as security for its faithful performance of this contract, for the payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials in connection with this contract. Such bonds shall also cover any penalties, interest charges and assessments levied by any governmental unit for failure to comply with laws and/or regulations governing public work. The Maintenance Bond shall be an assurance that all work and materials provided under this contract shall be maintained for a period of one (1) year following final completion, and payment under the contract. The contractor shall be required to furnish all guarantees and warranties of manufacturers of products in connection with this contract, but no manufacturer's limitation of time shall act to limit the responsibility of the contractor or its surety hereunder. The Board of Comissioners of the Hicksville Water District reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive any informalities therein and to accept the bid which, in its opinion, is in the best interests of the Water District. Bid date description: Bids must be addressed to the Board of Comissioner, Hicksville Water District, 4 Dean Street, Hicksville, New York, 11801, and submitted in a sealed envelope marked Proposal - Contract Designation - "Installation of Water Main and Appurtenances 82 N. Broadway" not later than 10:00 a.m. on the date stated above. Document Note: Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs.
