Western Reserve Port Authority McGuffey-Garland Plaza Soil Remediation North Garland Ave., Youngstown Ohio Project includes but is not limited to the removal of contaminated soil on a 22-acre site. A bid guaranty is required per Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 153.54, either certified check representing ten percent (10%) of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to Western Reserve Port Authority, or a bid bond in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the Western Reserve Port Authority, in the manner provided by law. Per ORC 153.571, a performance/payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required after the award of the contract. Bids of Corporations not chartered in Ohio must be accompanied by proper certifications that such Corporation is licensed to do business in Ohio. The contractor and their subcontractors shall comply with the appropriate minimum prevailing wages set forth by the State of Ohio Industrial Relations Division. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex or national origin. The Western Reserve Port Authority shall reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
