West-Division Interceptor Sewer Replacement Project - Phase 2 a. Installation and acceptance of new sewer facilities commencing at Bridge Street and terminating near Division Street , offset to the east and generally following the path of the Mahoning River, including, but not limited to the following: 1) 6,079 lineal feet of 48-inch combined sewer and tenty-two, 6-foot diameter manholes. 2) Associated lateral connections. b. Removal of approximately 5,964 lineal feet of 30-inch combined sewer, c. The abandonment of 30-inch sized sewer, including plug and grout installation at locations indicated on the Drawings. d. Abandonment of one (1) manhole. e. Removal of twenty five (25) manholes. f. Earth clearing and grubbing including tree removal. 1) Approximately 0.55 Acres of the project's proposed clearing and grubbing quantity has had tree topping performed. The Contractor is responsible for clearing and hauling these topped trees offsite. g. Asphalt and Concrete Pavement removal and replacement including roadway linear grading placing new aggregate base course, 10-inch reinforced concrete pavement, subgrade compaction and proof rolling. h. An aggressive support and dewatering system will be required since the sewer sits adjacent to the Mahoning River. The sewer installation will require preparation of a dry and stable excavation. i. An extensive bypass pumping plan will be required for the proposed improvements as high-volume wet weather flows are conveyed through the interceptor being replaced that will need to be bypassed to a downstream location within the City's sewer system. The system shall be fully operational, 24-hours a day, for the duration of the Project as needed for the improvements being performed. 1) Phase 1 of the West-Division Sewer Replacement Project may be under construction concurrently with Phase 2. Contractor shall coordinate bypass tie-in location and pump flow rates with Phase 1 contractor prior to setup. j. Removal and replacement of existing storm sewer pipe and structures. k. Additional site restoration including placement of erosion control blankets, top soil, seeding and mulching, and re-grading of existing drainage swales and features. l. The removal and disposal of contaminated soils and water as encountered throughout the project in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations. m. Contractor shall coordinate timing and execution with City Concrete for all construction activities that are on City Concrete's property or require use and access of City Concrete's property. Contractor shall provide a minimum of 3 weeks notice to City Concrete prior to accessing the City Concrete property, and shall not impede the operations at the site.
