The Housing Authority of the City of Providence Rhode Island is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors for the Dexter Manor Parking Lot Repaving (Foster Street) project located in Providence, RI. Detailed information regarding the work encompassed under this project is provided in the Scope of Work section of this Invitation for Bids All RFIs must be submitted in writing no later than Tuesday, June 17, 2025, by 04:00 PM EST. Address all pre-bid questions or requests for information pertaining to this project and bid documents to Patrick Smythe, Sr. Project Manager (psmythe@provhousing.org). All potential bidders must review in detail this IFB. Bidders are responsible for submitting a bid price inclusive of all requirements noted in this IFB including amendments, if any. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation, supplies, services, incidentals, and other resources required to complete the work. Omissions from the contract of details of work that are necessary to carry out the intent of the contract shall not relieve the contractor from performing the omitted work. The winning bidder shall coordinate with the Providence Housing Authority to schedule all work. The Providence Housing Authority will ensure the parking lot is empty per the schedule provided. The buildings at this location are a combination of occupied apartments and Providence Housing Authority administrative offices. The Providence Housing Authority Dexter Manor Parking Lot Repaving (Foster Street) project is located at 100 Broad Street, Providence, RI 02903. The work encompassed in this project shall include, but is not limited to the following: Site Assessment: a. Evaluate the current condition of the parking lot and curbs, including areas of damage, rutting and drainage issues. b. Determine the milling depth required to correct any issues (potholes, cracking, etc.) with the existing asphalt. c. Ensure all utility lines are identified. Site Preparation: a. Clear and prepare the site for construction. This involves the removal and legal disposal of both designated vegetative materials, debris/loose materials, and man-made objects and facilities. The actions required may include the removal and disposal of the following: i. Clearing and grubbing, culverts and other stormwater components, masonry, drainage and utility structures, pipe, rigid and flexible pavement, granite, concrete, and asphalt curbing, concrete and asphalt sidewalk, fences and railings, guardrail, miscellaneous items such as signs, demolition of structures, all other obstructions or undesirable materials within the right-of-way, all necessary trimming and fine grading, and any other item shown in the plans. ii. Any trees designated for removal shall be done by the owner. 3. Milling of Existing Asphalt: a. Remove existing asphalt down to the depth determined during the site assessment phase of the project. b. Dispose of removed asphalt per local/state/federal codes and regulations.
