Renovation of a municipal facility in Providence, Rhode Island. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

State House Rotunda - State Seal fabrication / Modifications Provide a new fabricated state seal in accordance with the documents prepared by the Federal Hill Group. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, etc. for the successful installation of a new state seal to be located in the Rhode Island State House in the Rotunda area. Contractor is responsible for all related work on the state house premises during the preliminary site work, during installation, and cleanup after all work is completed. Work on site must be conducted around the legislative session (approx. January - June). Work on site must also be coordinated with DCAMM Facilities around rotunda activities. Work producing noise and or dust must be done after normal business hours (8:30am - 4:00pm). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: o Careful removal and salvage (if necessary) the existing marble state seal located in the designated ceremonial area within the Rotunda area of the Rhode Island State House. Not to damage existing surrounding floor, and use all protective measures to ensure the protection of the Rotunda floor and nearby areas during removal and installation. o Survey and documentation of the current seal's dimensions, material characteristics, and installation conditions to ensure proper replication and as designed in the attached documents by Federal Hill Group Architects. o Fabrication of a new marble seal, consistent with historical standards and architectural integrity, using high-grade marble selected and approved by owners to match or complement the surrounding finishes, and as designed by the architect. o Engraving, carving, and polishing of detailed artwork, insignia, and lettering as specified by state historical guidelines, and as designed by the architects. o Installation of the new seal, ensuring precise alignment, structural integrity, and seamless integration with the existing floor or wall surfaces. o Protection of adjacent finishes and furnishings, with adherence to all preservation protocols within the historic State House environment. o Coordination with preservation officers and oversight bodies; to ensure compliance with all applicable historical, architectural, and safety standards. All work must be conducted with minimal disruption to ongoing operations and in accordance with DCAMM policies, and OSHA standards. Awarded vendor has to coordinate with building manager at any time they plan to be on site to make sure area is available, and there is no other event in the building or taken place to avoid any disruption to any special activities or offices in the building. Project has been cancelled.
