Renovation of a fire / police facility in Beckley, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
As of August 19, 2025, the project was awarded to Frye Roofing with an awarded amount of $79,076 and Vertex Roofing with the awarded amount of $30,355.00. The project will include full roof system removal, decking inspection and replacement (as needed), installation of underlayment, 30-year architectural shingles, commercial-grade gutter systems, and gutter heat tape systems. The contractor must also reinstall the lightning suppression systems and weathervanes at both locations. Neither date of proposal form nor placing in mail by this date will meet requirements. The proposal form must be received on or before date and time stated. Bidders must comply with all bidding requirements and conditions set forth in the Project Manual. All bidder's and bidder's subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with the West Virginia Contractors Licensing Act. Pursuant to Chapter 21 - Article 11 of the "West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act" of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State; the Contractors W.V. License Number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction Contracts or Agreements. After the scheduled closing time of receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days. All bidders are required to furnish a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price if bid is over $ 25,000.00. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Bonds in the amount of the contract price if contract is over $ 25,000.00. The City of Beckley, or designee reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to make such selection by item or total bid amount as deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Beckley.
